Geoff Alman – Bass & Vocals

Geoff started playing in garage, funk, punk and rockabilly bands in 1981. Touring and recording from Boston to San Francisco and all of continental Europe in the 80’s & 90’s didn’t bring fame and fortune, but it did make for some great stories to tell around the campfire. After settling in Concord in 2008 he met mentor and DVC music instructor Steve Sage who plugged him into the East Bay music scene.

Jon Lewis – Guitar

Meet Jon Lewis, a seasoned guitarist with a passion for music that runs deep. His journey began back in seventh grade, where he first picked up the guitar and never looked back. Throughout high school and college, he immersed himself in the worlds of jazz and rock, cutting his teeth in various bands. One notable band was a member of Mass Confusion, a dynamic band out of Sacramento. Together, they rocked stages at numerous fairs and college venues. But Jon’s talents extend beyond the spotlight. As he found himself behind the scenes as a tour sound engineer, working with many bands of all stripes including openers for established acts. This hands-on experience not only sharpened his skills but also gave him a deep understanding of the intricacies of live performance. Today, Jon continues to be in the local music scene, lending his versatile guitar chops to a variety of projects, from jazz ensembles to rock bands. With a solid rhythm foundation and a flair for melodic leads, he brings a dynamic energy, never failing to impress with his skillful playing and undeniable passion for music.

Thomas Churchill – Drums

Thomas’ musical journey started in Gary, Indiana with a desire to learn to play the drums in junior high school, unfortunately this opportunity did not happen for Thomas. His desire to play the drums became his first ‘bucket list’ item that went untouched for many years. Thomas, in 1991, checked this item off his list when he began studying drums with local Bay Area drummer/educator John Xeapoleas.

In those early years Thomas learned many drum concepts from John X and thrived from the many music schools and ‘blues jams’ available in the Bay Area. Thomas’ love for the drums continues, he has played in several Bay Area bands such as ‘Blue Conspiracy’, ‘The Shorty Garcia Band’ and ‘Midnight Sugar’.
Thomas’ newest drumming project is with the band the ‘Lizards of Lounge’. Thomas plays: Drum Workshop drums and pedals; Zildjian cymbals; Vic Firth sticks; and Aquarian drum heads.

Grace Tinker – Keys

Grace Tinker grew up in the Bay Area (but even though she’s a hippie-wannabe, she was unfortunately too young to participate in the Summer of Love). Grace started piano lessons at the age of four (and was forced to practice two hours a day until she was 17 because all good Asian children play the piano or violin). She left home at 17 and promptly forgot all the classical piano she had ever learned. She still cannot play more than 8 measures of Fur Elise. Grace also took violin lessons for a couple of years (she was a very good Asian child) but eventually quit after her violin teacher repeatedly told her she was good at piano. Grace only started to enjoy the keyboards when she started playing rock and roll.

Grace has played in a rock band that also moonlighted as a Finnish band and in a a couple of funk bands and an eighties band. Grace loves to play music but still hates to practice. She usually has to bribe herself with chocolate chip cookies and Chardonnay.

Dan Holligan – Sax & Vocals

Dan “the sax man” Holligan. Born with a sax, raised on vinyl. Ten years old, smoky basements, Coltrane on repeat. By fifteen, bars thrummed with his silky tenor, weaving tales under amber lights. Rough edges polished, dreams soared with each soaring note. Now, weathered with grace, “the sax man” paints velvet nights with jazz-kissed stories. But in the quiet, that worn sax whispers: the boy chasing fireflies, forever chasing the next perfect song.
